By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to have purchased a vacant land in Mother Kanniyammal Nagar Extension-II layout, comprised in S.No.300/2, situate at No.79, Pazhathandalam Village, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, admeasuring to an extent of 2400 sq.ft., vide registered sale deed bearing document No.1663/1998, dated 24.08.1998, registered on the file of the office of the Sub Registrar, Padappai and further claims to be in possession and enjoyment of the same ever since from the date of purchase. The petitioner along with his brother, has submitted a representation dated 24.07.2009, enclosing all the relevant documents and after paying the necessary fees, prays for issuance of patta in their favour and it was also followed by a reminder dated 28.05.2016 and despite that, no orders have been passed and hence, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.N.Anand Venkatesh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.A.S.Senthilvel, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4. Though the petitioner prayed for larger relief, this Court in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application/representation dated 24.07.2009 and the reminder dated 28.05.2016 in accordance with law, after putting on notice, the persons concerned and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned.
