A.No.6737 of 2019 in O.P.(SR) No.95693 of 2019 SENTHILKUMAR RAMAMOORTHY,J This application is filed to condone the delay of 28 days in filing the petition to set aside the arbitral award.

2. I heard the learned counsel for the applicant and the learned counsel for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the applicant submitted that the award was received only on 08.04.2019 and that on account of Labour unrest, the applicant was unable to enter the premises and that therefore, they did not have access to the relevant records. Consequently, the applicant was unable to obtain the necessary legal advice to file the challenge.

4. On examining the affidavit filed in support of the application and upon considering the oral submissions, I am of the view that the applicant has made out sufficient cause for condonation of delay. 5.Accordingly, this petition is ordered and the Registry is directed to number the above un-numbered O.P. if it is otherwise in order. 17.09.2019 kal http://www.judis.nic.in
