Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent, The Revenue Divisional Officer, Kallakurichi Revenue Division, Kallakurichi, Villupuram District to dispose the Appeal pending before the First respondent's office as Petition No.3298/2016 at the earliest as per the procedure prescribed under the Tamilnadu Patta Pass-Book Act- 1983 to cancel the Patta issued infavour of the respondents 2 to 4 in respect to S.Nos.400/1, 400/2, 394/10, 394/14, 401/1, 401/6, 401/2 of Katchirayapalayam Village, Chinna Salam Taluk, Villupuram District.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2.The petitioner claims to be in joint possession of the land admeasuring to an extent of 4.64 acres in S.Nos.394/10, 394/14, 400/1, 401/1, 401/2 and 401/6 in Katchirayapalayam Village, Chinna Salem Taluk, Villupuram District and according https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
to him, the respondents 3 and 4 behind the back of the petitioner managed to get patta in S.Nos.394/10, 394/14 and 401/6 and in this regard, petitioner has also filed an appeal before the first respondent vide petition no.3298 of 2016 and since no orders have been passed, came forward to file this writ petition.
3.Heard the submissions of Mr.V.Vijayakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.A.S.Senthilvel, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the first respondent.
4.Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner either in the appeal petition or in this writ petition, directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal petition no.3298 of 2016, in accordance with law and after putting on notice, the respondents 2 to 4, shall pass orders, within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the respondents 2 to 4.
