Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records pertaining to the order in Ref.No.P.05/2007 dt.3.11.07 issued by the 2nd respondent, quash the same and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to issue the petitioner no objection certificate for taking up employment with the first respondent University along with salary and service certificates.

When the matter is taken up for consideration today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that during the pendancy of the writ petition, the petitioner retired from service and hence nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition. He has also made an endorsement to that effect in the petition.
