Prayer: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS directing the respondents to produce the detenu, Latha Velu, Wife of Vijay Velu, aged about 35 yeas, before this Court and to set her at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by S. BASKARAN, J. ] The petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to produce the detenue, namely, Latha Velu, aged about 35 years, before this Court and to set her at liberty.

2. When the matter was taken up today, the detenue was produced before this Court. The learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor are present. However, the petitioner is not present.

3. On enquiry, the detenue had expressed her willingness to go along with the petitioner husband herein.

4. It appears that there is some misunderstanding between the petitioner and the detenue and therefore, she had left the home on her own.

5. In such circumstances, the detenue being a major and having expressed her desire to go along with the petitioner herein, she is set at liberty to go along with the petitioner, as per her wish. Hence, no further orders are necessary in this Habeas Corpus Petition. Therefore, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
