This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to consider and dispose of the representation made by the petitioner on 22.04.2025 wherein the petitioner has sought for appointing a fit person/special officer to administer the affairs of Arulmigu Mariamman Temple, Arulmigu Murugan Temple, Arulmigu Madurai Veeran Temple and Arulmigu Kaliamman Temple situated at Singhipuram Village, Vazhapadi Taluk, Salem District.
2. Heard Mr.S.Sathish, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Karthikeyan, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents.
3. It is seen from records that the Assistant Commissioner has already forwarded a report to the first respondent through a communication dated 22.12.2023. This is pursuant to the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.25900 of 2023 dated 05.09.2023. However, the 2/4
grievance of the petitioner is that the first respondent is yet to act upon the same and the representation of the petitioner did not evoke any response. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed.
4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the report, which has already been submitted by the second respondent to the first respondent through a communication dated 22.12.2023, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the same and take a decision within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
