This petition has been filed to condone the delay of 684 days in preferring second appeal before this Hon'ble Court against O.S.No.955 of 2017 on the file of the XIII Assistant Judge City Civil Court, Chennai dated 29.10.2018 confirmed in A.S.No.144 of 2019 dated 06.09.2019 on the file of XVIII Additional City Civil Court, at Chennai.

2. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this petition is ordered subject to following condition:

"the appellant is directed to pay a sum of Rs.5000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) as cost directly to the respondent, within a period of two weeks from today, failing which, this petition shall stand automatically dismissed.

3. On such payment, Registry is directed to number the second appeal, if it is otherwise in order.
