The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the second respondent to consider his representation dated 13.09.2023 seeking issue of patta in respect of his property situated in S.No.14/5, Plot No.23, No.1/700 Aringar Nagar, 8th Street, Neelankarai, Thoraipakkam, Chennai 600 097.

2. According to the petitioner, the above mentioned property was purchased by him from one Mani and he has been in possession and enjoyment of the same. The petitioner has not produced any registered sale deed in his favour. It appears that the petitioner is seeking issue of patta by virtue of his long possession. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 13.09.2023 seeking issue of patta based on his long possession and the same has not been considered.

3. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1& 2 would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered on its own merits, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.09.2023 and pass final orders, on its own merits, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
