ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's mother representation dated 18.06.2024 given to allow the petitioner to attend the classes and to write the exams.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he is a first year student of B.E. Computer Science in the 3rd respondent's institution and he has completed his first semester theory examination on 10.02.2024. The petitioner's family friend one Ridhi Angel died on 11.02.2024 and in connection to that Inspector of Police, B1 Police Station, Ooty has registered a case against the petitioner under Section 174 of Cr.P.C. In Cr. No.33 of 2024 for her suspicious death. Thereafter, it was altered into section 304(2) of IPC and the petition was remanded to judicial custody on 12.02.2024 and subsequently, he released on bail. Thereafter, the petitioner sent a representation to the 3rd respondent on 18.06.2024 asking the 3rd respondent 2/5

to allot him to attend classes and write exams and there was no reply or consideration. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 3rd respondent submitted that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the third respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 18.06.2024 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. 3/5
