Prayer: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of BNSS, to direct the respondent herein to take needful action to recover the petitioner's sum of Rs.76,076/- and complete the investigation in Crime No.163 of 2023 within a period of time fixed by this Court.

The petitioner herein, who has lost a sum of Rs.76,076/- to an online fraud unknown to him is before this Court, seeking direction to the respondent police to take needful action to recover the money.

2. The Learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the respondents states that based on the complaint, the trail of the money been identified to an account maintained at Indian Bank and a sum of Rs.10,284/- laying in that account been already freezed. That apart, an unknown person, who has made the petitioner herein to transfer money yet to be identified and being an online fraud committed by a naked face it is difficult to find that person. However, all efforts has been taken to identify the person who has cheated the petitioner and if any reliable truth is obtained, the respondent police will act in accordance with law.

3. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
