ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner representation dated 9-4-2026 and furnish the current status report in respect of Crime No.1045 of 2009 under section 224 IPC on the file of Koyambedu Police Station, Chennai and consequently direct the 2nd Respondent to process the petitioner passport application No.TR1067344234925.

2. It is seen that the petitioner applied for passport before the 2nd respondent. The 2nd respondent called for report from the 1st respondent. The 1st respondent reported that the petitioner involved in criminal case in Crime No.1045 of 2009 under Section 224 of IPC on the file of the 1st respondent and accordingly submitted verification report. Therefore, petitioner's application seeking passport was not considered by the 2nd respondent. Hence, petitioner submitted a representation to furnish he status report in respect of Crime No.1045 of 2009. Hence, 1st respondent is directed to disclose the present status of Crime No.1045 of 2009. The first respondent is also directed to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.1045 of 2009 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order.
