ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. In view of the nature of the order that is going to be passed in the present writ petition, notice to respondents 4 to 9 is dispensed with.

The relief sought in this writ petition is to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.03.2025, requesting to cancel the Patta standing in the name of 9th respondent and issue Patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of the properties comprised in Survey Nos.61/2, 61/1, 61/4 & 67/12 measuring an extent of 34 cents, 35 cents, 3 cents & 42 cents respectively situated at Keezhnethapakkam village (hereinafter referred to as "subject properties") purchased by the petitioner. 2/6
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner submitted a Representation dated 21.03.2025 to the respondents 1 to 3, requesting to cancel the Patta standing in the name of the 9th respondent and issue Patta in her name in respect of the subject properties.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the respondents 1 to 3 would consider the petitioner's Representation and pass appropriate orders, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

In view of the limited relief that is prayed, this Court is inclined to dispose of this Writ Petition with following directions: (i) The respondents 1 to 3 shall consider the petitioner's Representation dated 21.03.2025, after issuing notice and affording a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, respondents 4 to 9 and all other interested parties including rival claimants, if any. (ii) Though facts have been set out in affidavit, in view of the limited relief that is sought to be granted, I do not propose to examine the same, lest 3/6
it may influence the authority. The respondents 1 to 3 shall independently consider the facts and law set out in the petitioner's Representation and pass appropriate order in accordance with law including, but, not limited to the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act and Rules. (iii) The petitioner's Representation dated 21.03.2025 shall be disposed of within a period of 12 weeks from the date of uploading of web copy of this order without waiting for the receipt of certified copy of this order.
(iv) It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondents to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. Rights and contentions of the petitioner and all other interested parties are left open.
