ORDER

The petitioners have come forward with this petition under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, to call for the records in C.C.No.1221 of 2015 on the file of XV Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai and quash the same. 2.Today (08.02.2016), the petitioner 1 to 6, the second respondent and their respective counsel were present before this Court and their identification is also verified by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

The second respondent filed an affidavit stating that since the matter has been compromised, the second respondent agreed to quash the above said case in C.C.No.1221 of 2015 pending on the file of the learned XV Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai.

3.Considering the nature of allegation and also considering the affidavit filed by the second respondent and since the Investigating Agency, on completion of investigation, has filed a charge sheet, which has been taken on file in C.C.No.1221 of 2015 on the file of the learned XV Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai, this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served by allowing the trial to proceed with. Therefore, the entire proceedings in C.C.No.1221 of 2015 on the file of the learned XV Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai, in respect of the petitioners alone is, hereby, quashed and this Criminal Original Petition is allowed accordingly.
