O R D E R

The petitioner retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 30.4.2011. However, he was not paid the retirement benefits on account of the pendency of Disciplinary proceedings. The first respondent vide order dated 03.3.2014 dropped the charges framed against the petitioner and exonerated him from charges. In view of the subsequent events, necessary action should be taken to pay terminal benefits to the petitioner.

2. The first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation dated 24.4.2012 submitted by the petitioner on merits and in the light of the proceedings dated 03.3.2014 dropping the charges framed against him. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
