Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on merits by disposing the written representation made by the petitioner on 13.07.2016 within a stipulated time as this Hon'ble Court fixes.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner claims that his father T.Subramania Gounder and his sisters namely, Pragadheeswari and Sathya along with him are owning agricultural lands admeasuring to an extent of 9.04 acres in R.S.No.379, 3.11 acres in R.S.No.412/3, 0.18 cent in R.S.393/2, 0.64 cent in R.S.No.410/1 in Manakkadavu Village, Dharapuram Taluk, Tiruppur District and would further state that crops are being raised in the said lands and subsequently, his father and sisters executed a Release deed in his favour vide document no.7240 of 2014 dated 29.10.2014 registered on the file of the Sub Registrar Office, Dharapuram. Thereafter, the petitioner had approached the respondents to register his name in the revenue records in the form of application/ representation dated 13.07.2016 and despite the same, no orders have been passed and hence, came forward to file this writ petition.

3.Heard the submissions of Mr.C.Prakasam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Pattabiraman, learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4.This Court taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the third respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application/ representation dated 13.07.2016, in accordance with law and after putting on notice, the persons concerned, shall pass orders, within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned. 5.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
