ORDER

(The order of the Court was made by J.Nisha Banu,J.) Mr.R.Kumaravel, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2. This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus to dispose of the appeal dated 04.09.2023 within the stipulated time and consequently, direct the 1st respondent to issue Anthropologist report along with ST Kurumans certificate to the petitioner.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents requesting to issue ST Kurumans community certificate for himself and his daughter Hemavarshini. The 2nd respondent passed an order in Na.Ka.No.2280/2022/T dated 28.06.2023, rejecting the same. The petitioner has filed an appeal before the 1st respondent dated 04.09.2023 and also attended the enquiry. The appeal is pending till now without passing any order and the anthropologist report was also not issued. Hence, the present writ petition.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

5. Though the petitioner has come out with a larger prayer, seeking to issue anthropologist report along with ST Kurumans community certificate, considering the above submissions made by the

learned counsel for the petitioner, we are of the opinion that it would be suffice if the 1st respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner. Accordingly, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in this writ petition, we direct the 1st respondent to pass orders on the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 04.09.2023 in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
