The petition has been filed seeking to appoint the petitioner as the guardian of the person of the minor, Selvi.J.Annie Andrea and to grant permanent custody of the minor child to the petitioner and to permit the petitioner to take the minor child to United Kingdom for her further studies.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner is absent for the consecutive three hearings (i.e) on 18.04.2024, 14.06.2024 and 27.06.2024 and the matter was ordered to be posted today under the caption "for dismissal". Even today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Hence, this Original Petition is dismissed for default. No costs. Consequently, connected application is closed.
