9404 OF 2018] Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and Memorandum of Grounds in CRL RC.824/2018 of On the file of the High Court and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.K.B.VIVEKANANDHAN, Advocate for the petitioner, the court made the following order:- This petitioner was convicted by the trial Court for the offence under Section 138 of Negotiable Instrument Act 2012 and sentenced to undergo one year S.I and to pay a sum of Rs.2,65,000/- as compensation, in default to undergo S.I for three month to the respondent/complainant. Challenging the said conviction and sentence, pending revision, the petitioner has filed the present petition.
2. The sentence of the imprisonment imposed on the petitioner shall stand suspend on condition that the petitioner shall deposit for a sum of Rs.1,35,000/- awarded by the Court below as compensation within a period of four weeks from today and on such deposit, the petitioner shall release on bail on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties each for a likesum to the satisfaction of the trial Court and on a further condition that the petitioner shall report before the trial Court on the first working day of every month at 10.30 a.m, pending disposal of the revision. -sd/- 17/07/2018 This order, on being produced, be punctually observed and carried into execution by all concerned TRUE COPY Sub-Assistant Registrar (Statistics/C.S.)
