O R D E R

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for non compliance of the order dated 24.08.2021 passed by this Court in

W.P.No.14241 of 2016, thereby directing the respondent to reclassify the subject land from Anadheenam & Meichal Proamboke to Patta land and issue patta in favour of the petitioners for their respective lands, within a period of four weeks.

The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that aggrieved by the order passed by this Court, the respondent preferred a writ appeal in W.A.1863 of 2023 and the same is pending before the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court. He further submitted that the land is classified as Anadheenam & Meichal Proamboke and hence the order passed by this Court could not be complied with. 3.

Considering the above submission, this Contempt Petition is closed at present. The petitioners are at liberty to revive the contempt petition subject to the result of the writ appeal.
