ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd Respondent to dispose of petitioner's representation dated 28.12.2024, to carry out corrections in UDR patta for the lands comprised in Survey No.222/5B, situated at Jittandahalli Village, Palacode Taluk, Dharmapuri District.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that the property comprised in Survey Nos.222/5 measuring an extent of 2 acres and 95 cents situated in Jittandahalli Village, Palacode Taluk, Dharmapuri District belongs to petitioner's father Muthan and his brothers Kullan and Muniyan. It is stated that joint patta was issued in the name of petitioner's father, Kullan and Muniyan in 2/6

Patta No.817. While issuing UDR patta, survey number was also sub-divided as 222/5B and patta was wrongly updated in the name of Muniappan, who is stated to be a stranger and has no right over the subject property. It is under these circumstances, petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents on 28.12.2024 to carryout corrections in the UDR patta, however, the same has not been carried out till date. Hence this writ petition.

At the outset, it is submitted by Mr.Mohammed Sathik, learned Government Advocate for respondents that they would consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate order on merits after issuing notice to the petitioner and other interested parties, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

5. In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the appropriate respondent to consider the representation and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after issuing notice and affording a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and all other interested parties including rival claimants, if any, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and 3/6

it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
