This petition is filed under Section 378 (4) Cr.P.C, to grant special leave to prefer an appeal against the judgment dated 22.05.2023 made in C.C.No.1451 of 2018 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court at Magisterial Level II, Coimbatore.

2. Heard Mr.J.Jayan, learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that though the respondent / accused admitted his signature on the cheque, the trial Court acquitted the accused on the ground that the cheque was issued for debt which was barred by limitation.
