PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to provide effective Medical Treatment before the Government Hospital, Salem after removing them from solitary confinement of the detenues 1) Aswin, S/o. Udayakumar, aged 28 years, 2) Rajesh, S/o. Kalidoss, 3) Prasanth, S/o. Chandran, 4) Pull @ Praveen, S/o. Thangaraj, aged 25 years, 5) Amarnath, S/o. Vijayan, aged 22 years and 6) Pratheeb, S/o. Chandran, under Trial Prisoners now confined in Central Prison, Salem by consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.07.2023 on the file of the first respondent herein to secure the ends of justice. ORDER

(Order of the Court is made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The relief sought for in the present writ of Habeas Corpus Petition to direct the respondents to provide effective Medical Treatment before the Government Hospital, Salem after removing them from solitary Confinement of the detenues 1. Aswin, 2. Rajesh, 3. Prasanth, 4. Pull @ Praveen, 5. Amarnath, 6. Pratheeb, under trial prisoners, now confined in Central Prison, Salem by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 24.07.2023.

2. Mr.E.Raj Thilak, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the treatment provided to the detenues were completed and they were released on bail. However, in respect of an another case, again the detenues were arrested and now in prison.

3. Mr.R.Sankarasubbu, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the detenues are to be treated in accordance with the Prison Manual since there is likelihood of harassment.

4. It is made clear that the detenues are to be treated in consonance with the Prison Manual by following the procedures.
