ORDER

By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner is a respondent in an appeal filed by his mother, the 2nd respondent herein under Section 16 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

3.The petitioner has filed this petition for obtaining copies of the appeal papers. The petitioner now seeks a direction to the Collector, the 1st respondent herein to serve him with the copies of the appeal papers to defend the action. 4.Mr.V.Manoharan, the learned Additional Government Pleader has taken notice for the 1st respondent.

5.All this Court now requires the 1st respondent to do is to dispose of the appeal after giving fair and effective opportunity of being heard to the respondent, the petitioner herein which necessarily includes a copy of the appeal which his mother has filed, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from today.

6.The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
