ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 27.01.2024 for the alleged offences under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 and 29(1) of NDPS Act in Cr. No.845 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that petitioner along with other accused was found with illegal possession of 55 kgs of Ganja and hence the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has been under judicial custody since 27.01.2024 and he has been facing trial in this case in C.C. No.18 of 2024 and considering the long incarceration of the petitioner, prays for enlarging the petitioner on bail.

4. At this juncture, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that in this case, already the petitioner was convicted on 07.04.2026 by imposing punishment of 14 years of rigorous imprisonment along with fine amount of Rs.1,50,000/- in C.C. No.18 of 2024.

5. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 23-06-2026 MJS Note:
