THE HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE S.M.SUBRAMANIAM R.Priyadharshini ... Petitioner Vs.

1.The Director, IIT, Kharagpur, West Bengal, India - 721 302.

2.The Director, IIT Delhi, Hauzkhas, New Delhi.

... Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to provide an opportunity to attempt one more chance of JEE (advance) examination 2021 and considering petitioner's representation dated 14.10.2020 and 06.11.2020 For Petitioner : Mr.R.Ravichandran

O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents to provide an opportunity to attempt one more chance of JEE (advance) examination 2021, by considering the petitioner's representations dated 14.10.2020 and 06.11.2020.

2.

The direction as such sought for if granted, would do no service to the cause of justice. Providing an opportunity to appear for JEE (advance) examination 2021 is to be done based on the terms and conditions stipulated in the prospectus and the regulations issued by the respondent/IIT. 2.1 High Court cannot issue any direction to consider the representations of the petitioner, for the purpose of providing an opportunity to attend the examination.

2.2 More so, the writ petition was instituted in the year 2021. Therefore, on account of efflux of time, the relief sought for lost its relevance.

3.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. 06.02.2024 veda Index : Yes / No Speaking order / Non-Speaking Order To 1.The Director, IIT, Kharagpur, West Bengal, India - 721 302.
