PRAYER: This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents and their subordinate not to interfere with the day-to-day affairs and rights of the petitioner's society in any way including the playing of rummy (13 cards) and other recreational activities, without any reasonable cause at the premises at Ward F, Block 2, T.S.No.14/1, Avidipolam, Hamlet of Yanam, Puducherry - 533 464.

ORDER
This petition has been filed to direct the respondents and their subordinate not to interfere with the day-to-day affairs and rights of the petitioner's society in
any way including the playing of rummy (13 cards) and other recreational activities, without any reasonable cause at the premises at Ward F, Block 2, T.S.No.14/1, Avidipolam, Hamlet of Yanam, Puducherry - 533 464.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner had applied for trader certificate with the Municipality which has been provided. Further the petitioner had registered his club society and also obtained no objection certificate from the property owner. He had paid the property tax and also necessary fee. Despite the same, the second respondent is causing obstruction and interfering with the peaceful and normal conduct of the club activities.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that he has to get further instructions.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner may be permitted to appear before the second respondent and produce all documents and give his explanation and which would suffice.
5. In view of the same, the petitioner is directed to appear before the second respondent and produce all documents and thereafter the second respondent to take appropriate action. The second respondent is reminded that if the petitioner is otherwise entitled to carry on with his club activities, without any specific complaint or information, the club activities not to be interfered with.
6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
