The petitioner earlier filed Crl.O.P.No.6817 of 2021 and this Court by an order dated 08.04.2021 directed the respondent police to either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of three 1/3

months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, this order was not complied with. Hence, the petitioner sent a legal notice on 08.09.2021 and filed this contempt petition.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that in this case, FIR registered on 06.10.2020 and investigation completed, charge sheet filed on 11.03.2022. Due to Local Body Election, the police force were diverted for other duties and there was an law and order issue. Hence, there was some delay. On conclusion of the investigation, charge sheet was filed under Sections 354D, 363, 366 IPC and 11(iv) r/w 12, 9(i) r/w 10 of POCSO ACT-2012. Now, the case was taken on file in Spl.S.C.No.30 of 2022 by the Additional Mahila Court, Thiruvannamalai. In view of the same, the contempt petition is closed.
