Prayer : Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the records in Memo No.C3/D.O.No.67/2023 on the file of the second respondent, quash the detention order dated 13.07.2023 and direct the respondent to produce of detenue Sagadevan, Son of Venkatesan, detained at the Central Prison at Vellore, under the Tamil nadu Act 14 of 1982 before this Court and set him at liberty.

(Order of the Court was made by S.S. SUNDAR, J.) The petitioner, wife of the detenu, namely Sagadevan, Son of Venkatesan, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 13.07.2023 slapped on her husband, branding him as "Bootlegger" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders,
Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982]. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent as against the husband of the petitioner herein dated 13.07.2023 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.4928, Home, Prohibition & Excise (IX) Department, dated 07.09.2023 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
