O R D E R

The Refusal check slip dated 21.07.2023 issued by the respondent is sought to be quashed in the present writ petition.

2. The petitioner presented a settlement deed for registration. The registering authority has returned the document on the ground that the petitioner has failed to submit the original parent document.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the original parent document is not available with the petitioner and now he is ready to submit the certified copy of the title document for verification.

4. There is no impediment for the registering authority to verify the certified copy of the document, since such certified copy is obtained from the Registration Department.

5. In view of the said submissions, the petitioner is at liberty to submit a certified copy of the original document for verification and in the event of such production, the respondent is directed to proceed with the registration by

following the procedures as contemplated and complete the process within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of the receipt of a copy of this Order. Accordingly, the impugned refusal check slip passed by the respondent in RFL/2 Joint Sub Registrar Tiruvannamalai/77/2023 dated 21.07.2023 is quashed. Accordingly, the writ petition stands allowed.
