ORDER

The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 329(2), 296(b), 118(1) & 351(3) of BNS (Sec-442, 294(b), 324 & 506(ii) in I.P.C.) in Crime No. 0153 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 12.06.2026 at about 10:00 a.m., the petitioner threshed corn crops on the de facto complainant's agricultural land. When the de facto complainant questioned this, the petitioner assaulted her and her parents with a wooden log, causing injuries to various parts of their bodies. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submits that the petitioner is ready to abide by any condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the intervenor and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submit that the injured person is still undergoing treatment in the hospital and, further, the investigation is pending. Hence, they oppose the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. I have given my anxious consideration to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6. As rightly contended by the learned Counsel for the intervenor and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Court is of the view that if the petitioner is granted anticipatory bail, it would jeopardise the investigation.

Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
