This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents not to harass the petitioner and his family members under the guise of enquiry, based on the complaint given by Mr.Samuel Jeba Mani.

2. Today, Mr.M.Thamizhvanan, Special Sub-Inspector, J8, Neelangarai Police Station, Chennai, is present before this Court.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents-State.

4. On the complaint given by one Samuel Jeba Mani, petition enquiry is pending in C.No.78 of 2018 before the respondents. Under such circumstances, blanket order of 'not to harass' cannot be passed. The petitioner shall co-operate in the enquiry and during the course of enquiry, he shall not be harassed. However, if any cognizable offence is made out, this order would not be a shield against the arrest of the accused. With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is closed.
