O R D E R

(The Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble The Chief Justice) The petitioner, an Advocate, seeks to make a grievance alleging that respondent Nos.7 and 8 who have been given mining rights are mining in Government poramboke lands beyond the licensed area.

2. Learned counsel appearing for private respondent Nos. 7 and 8 states that the license period is already over.

3. In so far as the allegation of any continuing mining despite expiry of license or mining beyond the area specified is concerned, the second respondent will look into the issue and submit a report to the first respondent. If the allegations are found to be correct, the first respondent shall proceed in accordance with law to take action on the same, after notice to all concerned.

4. The second respondent to carry out the task within a maximum period of two months from the date of receipt of the order and the first respondent to act on the report within a month thereafter.

The writ petition accordingly stands closed, leaving the parties to bear their own costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
