The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 2(16), 9, 39 and 51 of Wildlife(Protection) Act, 1972 in W.O.R.No.4 of 2022 seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 18.08.2022 one deer was found dead near the barbed wire of the land in the field situated at Kallar in Odanthurai Village, Mettupalayam Taluk which belongs to one Sivakumar which was cultivated by the petitioner. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any such offence as alleged by the prosecution. He would further submit that since the deer was died within the limits of the petitioner's land, the respondent registered a case against the petitioner. Therefore, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

and the same has been cultivated by the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
