The petitioner herein, who is arrayed as A1, is facing trial in C.C.No.213 of 2025 for the offence under Sections 331(4) and 305 of BNS Act, in Crime No.40 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent, seeks bail. 1/2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

2. This is a second bail petition filed by the petitioner. However, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner when the matter is taken up for hearing. The case pertains to housebreaking and theft of 26 sovereigns of gold jewellery.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police, opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner and submitted that the petitioner has 47 previous cases of a similar nature. He further submitted that if the petitioner released on bail, there is every possibility of recurrence of the offence and also the possibility of absconding.

4. Considering the serious objection raised by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 03.09.2025 rpl To
