ORDER

By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The matter pertains to certain alleged mishandling of the funds of a certain 2nd respondent society. According to the petitioner, he had preferred a complaint, based on which the Registrar of Societies has passed a proceeding dated 28.11.2022, where under he has authorised Sub Registrar, Thiru Anandakumar as an enquiry officer and complaints that nothing has happened thereafter. Now, he has filed this petition seeking a direction to the I.G. Registration, the 1st respondent herein to initiate action.

3.The District Registrar who has passed the order has not even been impleaded. This Court therefore impleads the Registrar of Societies, Thanjavur as a 6th respondent.

4.Mr.G.Ameedius, the learned Government Advocate has taken notice for the 1st respondent and also for the 6th respondent now impleaded. 5.The 6th respondent is now directed to monitor the progress of the enquiry by Thiru. Anandakumar, and if he is not satisfied with his performance then change the said officer and is required to complete the enquiry within a period of six (6) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving due and appropriate notice and right of hearing to all the parties who are likely to be affected by the decision contemplated.

6.This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No Costs. 10.08.2023 kas Index : Yes / No 3/4
