By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 1/6

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents herein to survey/measure the petitioner's lands measuring an extent of 0.78.00 hectares, comprised in S.F.No.31/7, situated at Manavur Village, Tiruttani Taluk, Tiruvallur District, by considering her online application dated 23.04.2025.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that petitioner became the owner of the subject property measuring an extent of 0.78.00 hectares, comprised in S.F.No.31/7, situated at Manavur Village, Tiruttani Taluk, Tiruvallur District, after the demise of her husband on 17.02.2022. It is stated that an online application was made on 23.04.2025 seeking survey of subject property and that appropriate fees has also been paid, however survey has not been carried out till date. Aggrieved, petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

At the outset, it is submitted by Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents that pursuant to the application submitted by the petitioner on 23.04.2025, proceedings were issued, fixing the date of enquiry as 05.07.2025 by placing reliance on proceedings dated 26.06.2025, photocopy of the same is appended below:

4.1. Learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents would further submit that on completion of enquiry, survey would be carried out in accordance with law. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner. The same is recorded.
5. In view thereof , the writ petition stands disposed of. The petitioner may participate in the enquiry proceedings and thereafter the appropriate authority shall proceed to survey the subject property in accordance with law after giving prior notice to the petitioner, adjacent land owners and other interested parties including rival claimants, if any. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
