Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the Registrar, Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunal, Chennai, to transfer O.A.No.331 of 2020 from Debts Recovery Tribunal-I, Chennai to Debts Recovery Tribunal-II Chennai and further, on such transfer, direct the P.O. Debts Recovery Tribunal-II,

Chennai to dispose of I.A.No.508 of 2021 in O.A.No.331 of 2020 within a specified time-frame.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) This petition has become infructuous as is evident from the statement of counsel for the petitioner.

2. The prayer in the petition is for a direction on the Registrar, Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunal, Chennai, to transfer the records pertaining to a particular case to the Debts Recovery Tribunal-II, Chennai, since there is no presiding officer at the Debts Recovery Tribunal-I.

3. However, learned counsel submits that DRT-II has now been given additional charge of DRT-I, so that the presiding officer of DRT-II may deal with the urgent matters pertaining to DRT-I. Accordingly, it will be open to the petitioner to make a prayer before the presiding officer of DRT-II to take up the petitioner's matter pending with DRT-I.

4. W.P.No.23435 of 2021 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
