Respondents Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., praying to call for the records in Crime No:20 of 2010 pending on the file of the Women Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Ammapet, Salem District and quash the same in so far as petitioner's concerned.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed to call for the records in Crime No:20 of 2010 pending on the file of the Women Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Ammapet, Salem District and quash the same in so far as petitioners are concerned.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that investigation in Crime No.20 of 2010 has been closed, after recording the statement of the defacto complainant to the effect that, she has obtained divorce from her husband and that she will not prosecute the case further. The learned Judicial Magistrate-IV, Salem has even recorded the statement https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

u/s 164 Cr.P.C. given by the defacto complainant on 08.11.2013, wherein she has clearly stated that, she is withdrawing the complaint against the petitioners.

4. In view of the above, police have also filed "further action dropped" report before the Judicial Magistrate-IV, Salem on 28.02.2014.

5. Accordingly, this petition is closed. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
