Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 30.04.2021 and thereby direct the respondents to provide domestic electricity service connection to the petitioner's residential property situated at No. 7 Sri Sathya Sai Nagar, Ninnakarai Village, Chengalpet Taluk and Distirct in his name by receiving appropriate official charges towards the same.

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the application submitted by the petitioner on 30.04.2021 wherein, the petitioner has sought for domestic electricity service connection for his property.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the petitioner has already submitted the online application and since the charges were not paid, the same was canceled. The learned counsel submitted that if the petitioner makes the online application by paying the necessary charges, the application will be considered by the concerned authority. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will make a fresh online application by paying the necessary charges.

4.Taking into consideration the submissions made on either side, this writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the petitioner to make a fresh online application along with necessary charges and the 2nd respondent shall consider the same and if the petitioner is able to satisfy the requirements, the service connection shall be effected, within a period of two weeks from the date of the submission of the online application. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
