This Criminal Original Petition is filed to transfer the private complaint in C.C.No.204 of 2021 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court-II, Chengalpattu to Judicial Magistrate Court, Ranipet. 1/4

The reason stated by the petitioner is that the petitioner is the resident of Ranipet and when he attended the Court on 16.07.2024 at Chengalpattu, he was abused by the complainant's counsel and threatened with dire consequence. Stating that he has to travel 240 kms to attend the case and there is a threat. Hence, he prayed for transfer. 3.
This Court does not find any justification in entertaining this petition on the ground that the counsel for the complainant threatened the petitioner or on the ground that the petitioner has to travel 240 kms to attend the case. If there is any threat, it is appropriate for him to give complaint regarding the threat to the police or if it is occurred inside the Court campus, to the Presiding Officer and if any such complaint is received, police will take necessary action.

For the reason stated above, this petition for transfer cannot be entertained. Hence, Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is also dismissed.
