When the matter is taken up for hearing today, there is no representation for the petitioner. But, the learned counsel for the respondent is present. It has to be noted that when the matter came up for hearing on 23.02.2017, the learned counsel for the respondent had represented that the dispute between the parties to the quash petition was already settled. However, the petitioner has not chosen to make his appearance either to refute or admit the fact of settlement.

2. In view of the above fact, this Court presumes that the petitioner has not evinced any interest to prosecute the petition.
