The Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent-Police not to harass the petitioners and their family members in the guise of enquiry in civil disputes.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that on receipt of notice under Section 41(A) Cr.P.C./35 BNS, the first petitioner appeared before the respondent-Police for enquiry on 24.05.2025 and submitted her explanation, after due enquiry, the respondent-Police recorded the statement of the first petitioner and let-out the first petitioner. Even after recording the statement of first petitioner, the respondent-Police are harassing the petitioners herein for enquiry again and again. Hence, the present petition.

Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for respondent-Police, on instructions, submitted that the respondent-Police had already closed the complaint given by the de-facto complainant and closure report was also filed before the jurisdictional Court. He further submitted that as on date no complaint is pending against the petitioners and the respondent-Police have not insisted the petitioners for enquiry. Therefore, there is no harassment as alleged by the petitioners.
4. Recording the above submission, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
