ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to provide domestic electricity service connection to the premises belonging to the petitioner based on the order passed by CGRF dated 18.11.2024.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Standing Counsel produced the written instructions recieved from the Assistant Engineer. It is seen that pursuant to the order passed by the CGRF dated 18.11.2024, legal opinion has been sought for and that the application submitted by the petitioner is under process.

3/5 3.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the written instructions submitted before this Court, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to submit a fresh application before the Assistant Engineer (O & M), Alwarpet, Chennai and on receipt of the same, the Assistant Engineer shall process the application in line with the order that has been passed by CGRF dated 18.11.2024 and do the needful, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the fresh application submitted by the petitioner. 4.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
