(Order of the Court was made by D.Krishnakumar, J.) The Government have filed the instant civil miscellaneous petition seeking to condone the inordinate delay of 1200 days in filing the Writ Appeal No.SR 82869 of 2022, challenging the order dated 05.04.2019 passed in Writ Petition No.18362 of 2010.

2. A perusal of the affidavit filed by the petitioner-Department does not show any sufficient cause or valid reasons for condoning the inordinate delay of 1200 days in filing the appeal, except stating that the copy of the order was received on 19.08.2019 and due to the Corona lockdown announced by the Government in the month of March, 2020 that continued till the end of the year. It is further stated that after the lockdown was lifted, all the employees were drafted for General Election to the Legislative Assembly during the month of March/April, 2021. There is no plausible explanation given by the Department for such an inordinate delay in filing the appeal before this Court.

As we are not satisfied with the reasons stated for condoning the inordinate delay of 1200 days and no sufficient cause has also been shown, the civil miscellaneous petition stands dismissed. Consequently, W.A.No.SR 82869 of 2022 stands rejected.
