O R D E R
The writ petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings in Letter No.AE/O & M/JJ Nagar South/F.Peri/D.No.67/23, dated 24.05.2023 and and consequently, direct the respondents to furnish the copy of the entire proceedings culminating in passing of the final assessment order by the second respondent.

It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner has obtained a electricity service connection at Door No.1/5 Mogappair East, JJ Nagar, Chennai 37 and the same was disconnected on 17.10.2021 on the ground that the petitioner has not paid extra levied amount as demanded by the respondent. Challenging the said order, the petitioner has filed the present petition.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is ready to pay a sum of Rs.64,115/- as demanded by the respondent in the
impugned. After payment, this Court may direct the respondents to restore the electricity connection forthwith.
4. The learned counsel for the respondents submitted that the petitioner has to pay the impugned amount along with BPC interest. This Court may direct the petitioner to pay the interest for belated payment.
5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
6. Considering the fact that when the demand notice is pending before this Court, the petitioner is not entitled to pay the interest or extra levied charges. However, the petitioner is come forward to pay the demand amount. In view of the above, this Court directs the petitioner to pay a sum of Rs.64,115/- to the respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of the said amount, the respondents shall restore the electricity service connection to the petitioner's premises within a period of two weeks thereafter.
7. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently................
