TEEKAA RAMAN CRL.M.P.NOS.9798, 9799 and 9801 of 2018 in Crl.RC.No.853 of 2018 J.HELAN VIDYA [ PETITIONER IN ALL THE PETITIONS ] Vs V.B.DHANALASHMI [ RESPONDENT IN ALL THE PETITIONS ] Petitions praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the Memorandum of Grounds in Crl.RC.No.853 of 2018 on the file of the High Court, the High Court will be pleased to [i] Suspend the sentence imposed on the petitioner/petitioner in order dated 27.04.2018 in C.A.No.160 of 2017 passed by the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Thirvallur and enlarge her on bail, pending disposal of the above Crl.RC.No.853 of 2018 [IN CRL.MP.NO.9798 OF 2018] [ii]Stay the operation of the order dated 27.04.2018 in C.A.No.

160 of 2017 by the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Thirvallur in so far as directing the petitioner to pay a sum of Rs. 8,75,000/- (Rupees Eight Lakh and Seventy Five Thousand only), pending disposal of the above Crl.RC.No.853 of 2018 [IN CRL.MP.NO.9799 OF 2018] [iii] Exempt from surrendering the petitioner/petitioner in pursuant to the order dated 27.04.2018 in C.A.No.160 of 2017 passed by the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Thiruvallur, Crl.RC.No.853 of 2018 [IN CRL.MP.NO.9801 OF 2018] Order : These petitions coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the Memorandum of Grounds in Crl.RC.No.853 of 2018 on the file of the High Court and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.B.

JANAKIRAM, Advocate [IN ALL THE PETITIONS] for the petitioner, the court made the following order:- This petitioner was convicted by the trial Court for the offence under Section 138 IPC and sentenced to undergo S.I for one year and 3 months and also to pay compensation of Rs.8,75,000/- .

revision, the petitioner has filed the present petitions.

2. There shall be an order of interim stay on condition that the petitioner is directed to deposit a sum of Rs.3,50,000/- of the cheque amount before the trial Court within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. On such deposit of the amount, the substantive sentence of imprisonment alone is suspended and the petitioner shall be released on bail on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties each for a likesum to the satisfaction of the trial Court and on a further condition that the petitioner shall report before the trial Court on any working day of a month at 10.30 a.m, pending disposal of the revision. It is stated that the petitioner is already paid Rs.1,000/- fine amount imposed by the Court below.

In view of the suspension of sentence, the petitioner is exempted from surrendering before the appellate Court and Crl.M.P.No.9801 of 2018 is ordered accordingly. -sd/- 24/07/2018 This order, on being produced, be punctually observed and carried into execution by all concerned TRUE COPY Sub-Assistant Registrar (Statistics/C.S.)
