PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent No.1 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.07.2024 and to admit the petitioner's son Soundarapandi, S/o. Suresh, aged 22 years, under trial prisoner, now confined in the Central Prison-2, Puzhal, Chennai in the Kalaignaar Centenary Super Speciality Hospital (KCSSH), Guindy, Chennai for proper medical treatment. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The Writ Petition has been instituted to direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.07.2024 and to admit the petitioner's son SoundaraPandi, under trial prisoner in Super Speciality Hospital at Guindy.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that prompt action was taken by the Jail Authorities and the under trial prisoner, who is the son of the

petitioner, was admitted in the hospital and underwent angeoplasty with stent placement surgery in August 2023. He was sent to Stanley Medical College Hospital for follow up review on 03.08.2024. His echo showed stable cardiac status. He was advised to continue medication for improvement of his health condition. The Jail Medical Authorities may watch the health situation of the son of the petitioner, who is an under trial prisoner, and if requires, further treatment may be provided if necessity arises.

3. In view of the above medical report, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the competent Court for grant of bail. With the observations, this writ petition stands disposed of.
