ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 3rd respondent to provide police protection based on the petitioner's complaint dated 29.09.2021.
2.The petitioner sent a representation to the police and the revenue authorities on 29.09.2021 seeking Police protection and also deputation of Surveyor to survey the petitioner's land in Survey Nos.212/5, 210/9, 196/4 & 212/2A. When the petitioner was surveying the land, Ramanathan, Gopikrishnan, Ramarajan. Thiruvengadam, Thanikasalam, Rajamani, and Prabavathi, who are no way connected to the said properties, have objected the same.
3. In view of the same, the petitioner approached the Thasildar and gave a representation along with the supporting documents and thereafter, the petitioner was directed to remit the survey fee, which has been made on 06.09.2021. The Revenue Authority registered to survey and ear-mark the properties of the petitioner. Due to the obstruction raised by Ramanathan, Gopikrishnan, Ramarajan. Thiruvengadam, Thanikasalam, Rajamani, the third respondent police, The Sub Inspector of Police, Pagandai Kootu Salai Police Station, denied for providing police protection.
4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that there is no complaint and requisition from the revenue authorities seeking police protection. In the event, the revenue authorities seeking for police protection, necessary protection would be granted. 5.In view of the same, the petitioner is directed to approach the Thasildar to depute a Surveyor for conducting survey of the property and also to inform the same to the third respondent police, The Sub Inspector of Police, PagandaiKoottu Salai Police Station, who shall provide necessary police protection after confirming the same with the revenue authorities. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of .
