2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that in continuation to the orders passed by this Court on 27.08.2019, the department has collected the details of the cases where the investigation has been completed and final report has been filed before the Special Court, throughout the State of Tamil Nadu. The list provided by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor reveals the fact that the investigation has been completed in nearly 782 cases and the Final Report has been filed before the concerned Special Court for Land Grabbing cases in various Districts.
3.The list of cases which are pending at the stage of Final Report in various Districts through out Tamil Nadu, before the concerned Special Courts is tabulated hereunder: 1/5

District Cases Pending at the Stage of Final Report filed before the Special Court Total 4.The directions given by this Court in the earlier order will equally apply to the other Districts also, wherein, the Final Reports are pending before the Special Court without being taken on file. 5.There shall be a direction to the concerned Special Courts in each of the District indicated in the tabulation column, supra to return back the Final Report filed by the concerned Investigating Officer of the respective Police Stations in order to enable those Final Reports to be filed before the concerned jurisdictional Courts. This exercise shall be completed by the respective Special Courts, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
Immediately, on receipt of the Final Report, the concerned Investigating Officer belonging to the respective Police Station, shall file the Final Report before the jurisdictional Court, within a period of two weeks thereafter and proceed further in accordance with law. The jurisdictional Courts, before which, the final report is filed, shall immediately act upon the same and take cognizance in accordance with law and complete the cases as expeditiously as possible.
