Considering the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of this petition, this petition is allowed and the delay of 742 days in filing the above appeal is condoned, subject to the condition that the petitioner / appellant pays a sum of Rs.1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) as cost, to the Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority, High Court Campus, Chennai-104, within a period of two weeks from today, failing which this petition shall stand dismissed automatically.

2.It is made clear that in the event of succeeding in the appeal, the petitioner / appellant will not be entitled for interest for the said delayed period in respect of the enhanced amount of compensation.
